For the 2012 compilation, I tried something different. Instead of offering to mail the mix CDs to folks at year's end, I surprised the people who had provided me with the necessary information over the years by shipping them a copy on their birthday. I had also moved from Ohio, where I'd built a small audience playing music, to Minnesota and wanted to remind folks they were still on my mind.
